Solar Energy in Antalya: How the Payback Period Works
Payback is the first question every property owner asks about solar. Here is how it is really calculated in Antalya, which figures move it most and why it is only half the story.

From villa rooftops in Kaş to megawatt factory roofs, we engineer solar and battery systems that cut your bills, shrink your carbon footprint and keep the lights on, with clear English-language guidance at every step.

Why Antalya, why now
Antalya is one of the sunniest corners of Europe, with roughly 3,000 hours of sunshine a year and typical yields of around 1,500 to 1,600 kWh for every kilowatt-peak installed. That makes solar energy in Antalya far more than an ethical choice: it is one of the most dependable green investments a homeowner, hotelier or manufacturer can make. Every kilowatt-hour your roof produces is a kilowatt-hour you no longer buy, and no longer emit.
Antalya Solar is built around that idea. We design each system from your real consumption data, specify bankable Tier-1 components, handle the distribution-company paperwork and stay with you for the full 25-year life of the plant through remote monitoring and maintenance. Whether you want a carbon-neutral villa, an ESG-ready hotel or round-the-clock power from a battery, the process stays transparent from the first survey to final acceptance.

What we build
Nine specialised services, one sustainability mindset: we match the technology to your property, consumption profile and long-term energy goals.

The Antalya Solar difference
Six commitments that guide every project we take on, from a 2.2 kW off-grid garden cabin to a multi-megawatt industrial roof.
Every proposal is built on simulation software and on-site measurements rather than optimistic rules of thumb, so the savings you plan for are the savings you see.
We specify panels from financially strong manufacturers and proven inverters, because a 25-year warranty is only as valuable as the company standing behind it.
Systems are planned with batteries in mind, so LiFePO4 storage can be added later without rewiring the property or replacing the whole inverter setup.
Distribution-company applications, project files, connection agreements and acceptance inspections are managed by our team, with progress updates in clear English.
Monitoring dashboards show generation and avoided CO₂ in real time, giving households and businesses credible figures for sustainability and ESG reporting.
Remote monitoring, cleaning, inspections and expansion support continue long after commissioning, across the full working life of your solar system.
Reference projects
From a 2.2 kW off-grid cabin to a 4.5 MW industrial roof, every project shown here was designed and built by our own team.
How it works
A clear five-step journey with one point of contact, written documentation and no surprises along the way.
Share a recent bill, your address and your goals; we return an initial savings and carbon estimate, usually within 48 hours.
An engineer inspects the roof or land, measures shading and checks the electrical panel, structure and connection options on site.
You receive a panel layout, yield simulation, equipment list and transparent price, with optional battery scenarios compared side by side.
We prepare the grid application and project file, then install with experienced crews; most residential systems are finished within days.
After acceptance and activation we hand over the monitoring app and stay on call for maintenance, cleaning and future upgrades.
Storage in action

Few places in Europe are as well suited to solar power as the Antalya coastline. Long dry summers, mild winters and clear skies give a well-oriented array roughly 1,500 to 1,600 kWh per kilowatt-peak each year, considerably more than central or northern Europe. For property owners this turns Antalya solar energy into a practical, measurable investment rather than a gesture. A good system produces most strongly exactly when air conditioners, pool pumps and hotel chillers work hardest, so generation and demand line up naturally.
That alignment matters for the climate as much as for the budget. Turkey's electricity mix still relies heavily on gas and coal, so every kilowatt-hour produced on your roof displaces fossil generation. A typical 10 kWp home system avoids several tonnes of CO₂ every year, and across our portfolio clients have already avoided more than 4,250 tonnes. For families pursuing a carbon-neutral home in Antalya, or companies reporting their Scope 2 emissions, solar is one of the most direct and visible levers available.
Solar panel cost in Antalya depends on much more than the number of panels. Roof type and structure, cable distances, inverter technology, whether you add battery storage and how much of your production you use on site all shape the final figure. Larger systems benefit from a lower cost per kilowatt-peak, while hybrid systems cost more up front but raise self-consumption and provide backup power. Because component prices and exchange rates move often, we do not publish fixed price lists; you receive an itemised written quote after a free site survey.
Your return is driven mainly by your tariff and your consumption pattern. Businesses with strong daytime demand typically see payback in roughly four to six years, while households usually take somewhat longer, depending on usage and on whether they exceed the annual consumption threshold that moves homes onto higher residential rates. With panels warranted to perform for 25 years, most systems go on to deliver many years of very low-cost electricity after paying for themselves. Our calculator gives a first estimate; the survey turns it into a firm figure.
Grid-connected systems in Turkey operate under the Regulation on Unlicensed Electricity Generation, supervised by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK). Put simply, the electricity you generate is used in your property first, and any surplus is exported and netted against what you draw from the grid. The netting method, whether monthly or hourly, and the way surplus beyond your own consumption is treated have been revised several times and differ by subscriber group, so we always check the rules that currently apply to your connection.
Foreign nationals who own property in Turkey can go solar in the same way as Turkish citizens; a Turkish tax number and an electricity subscription in your own name are the key requirements. We prepare the application to the regional distribution company (EDAŞ), the project documentation and the acceptance file, and we coordinate the meter change. You approve the design and sign the connection agreement, and we take care of the rest. Our blog guide to net metering in Turkey explains the process in more depth.
Good to know
The price depends on system size, roof or land conditions, equipment choice and whether you add batteries. As a rule, the cost per kilowatt-peak falls as systems get larger, and hybrid systems cost more than grid-tied ones. Because component prices and exchange rates move frequently, we provide an itemised written quote after a free, no-obligation site survey.
In Antalya, businesses with strong daytime demand typically see payback in about four to six years, while homes usually take somewhat longer depending on tariff and how much solar power is used directly. Panels carry a 25-year performance warranty, so most systems deliver many years of very low-cost electricity after payback.
Yes. Foreign owners can install grid-connected, hybrid or off-grid systems on property they own in Turkey. You will need a Turkish tax number, which most buyers already have from the purchase, and an electricity subscription in your name. Our English-speaking team prepares and follows the whole application on your behalf.
Under the unlicensed generation regulation, the electricity you produce is used on site first and surplus is exported and netted against your consumption. The netting rules, including monthly or hourly settlement and limits on surplus, have changed over time and vary by subscriber type, so we confirm the current EPDK rules for your connection.
A standard grid-tied system switches off automatically during an outage, a safety feature that protects line workers. If you want power during cuts, choose a hybrid system with LiFePO4 battery storage, which can keep selected circuits or the whole property running from the battery within moments of the grid failing.
We work across Antalya province and the Mediterranean coast, including Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı, Kepez, Döşemealtı, Aksu, Belek, Serik, Side, Manavgat, Alanya, Gazipaşa, Kemer, Kumluca and Kaş. Larger commercial and ground-mount projects elsewhere in the region can also be assessed on request.
Panels carry a 25-year linear performance warranty, our installation workmanship is guaranteed for five years, and inverters typically carry five to ten years of manufacturer warranty depending on the model. Batteries come with their own manufacturer warranty, and every system we install includes remote monitoring.
Yes. Panels respond to daylight rather than heat, and Antalya's winters are mild with plenty of clear days. Output in December and January is lower than in July, but strong production from spring to autumn more than compensates, so annual yields in the region remain excellent.
